MH17: False Accusations
Russophobia on the rise... again
... innocents killed by Russian-led terrorists. ... Bastards ...
But when new Ukrainian leaders, with pro-Western Arseniy Yatsenyuk as Prime Minister, took over Kiev they made it known that being anti-Russia was their top priority. Their first order of business was to remove the Russian language in official communications in the government.
Kenneth Rapoza - Russia Helped Ukraine, But Now Ukraine Needs More, IMF's Lagarde Says (Apr 3, 2014)
Evidence indicates that the plane was shot down by a surface-to-air missile that was launched from an area that is controlled by Russian-backed separatists inside of Ukraine. We also know that this is not the first time a plane has been shot down in eastern Ukraine. Over the last several weeks, Russian-backed separatists have shot down a Ukrainian transport plane and a Ukrainian helicopter, and they claimed responsibility for shooting down a Ukrainian fighter jet. Moreover, we know that these separatists have received a steady flow of support from Russia. This includes arms and training. It includes heavy weapons, and it includes anti-aircraft weapons.
While investigations continue, at this point most people accept that the missile that shot down Malaysian Airlines flight MH-17 was supplied by Russia, came from an area that its separatists controlled and involved training—if not outright participation—from the Russian military.
Terrorists or separatists?
Pro-Russian separatist holds up toy
Pro-Russia separatist groups in eastern Ukraine are hastily covering up all links to the Buk missile battery suspected to have been used to shoot down the Malaysia Airlines passenger plane, according to western-based defence and intelligence specialists.
Carry-on bags and backpacks lay open, pillaged by looters.
A photograph widely circulating on social media last night purported to show a Russian separatist fighter stealing a ring from a victim of the MH17 crash.
The last couple of days we have received very disturbing reports of bodies being moved about and looted for their possessions. Just imagine for one minute, not as representatives of your countries, but as fathers and mothers, just imagine that one day you lose your loved one and then two or three days later see some thug steal their wedding ring from their remains. To my dying day I will not understand that it took so much time for the rescue workers to be allowed to do their difficult jobs and that human remains should be used in a political game. I hope the world will not have to witness this again, any time in the future. Images of children's toys being tossed around, luggage being opened or passports, including passports of children being shown, are turning our grief and mourning into anger. We demand unimpeded access to the terrain. We demand respectful treatment of the crash site. We demand dignity for the victims and the multitudes who mourn their loss. (text)
